A woman seated in a New Town interior, painted by F. C. B. Cadell around 1913 in the loose, high-keyed manner he brought back from Paris.

Cadell's Edinburgh rooms are the subject he is remembered for — mirrors, lacquer, black hats, a shaft of light off a polished floor. He painted them at his own addresses in Ainslie Place. His work sold poorly in his lifetime and his family largely supported him.

The original hangs in the Scottish National Gallery.

Printed to order on heavyweight archival paper with a narrow white border that keeps the painting's own proportions. Framed in black, wood or white, or unframed for your own frame. Shipped worldwide.
