Ptarmigan on bare rock, painted by Edwin Landseer — a bird that lives only on the high tops and turns white for the winter, which is the whole reason it is worth painting.
It is Britain's only truly arctic bird and in Scotland it is found almost nowhere below two thousand feet. Landseer knew the ground well enough to put it exactly where it belongs.
Printed to order on heavyweight archival paper with a narrow white border that keeps the painting's own proportions. Framed in black, wood or white, or unframed for your own frame. Shipped worldwide.
