Road to Loch Maree by Joseph Farquharson Art Print
£48.00
The road running up to Loch Maree in Wester Ross, painted by Joseph Farquharson in low northern light.
Loch Maree is one of the last places in Scotland where the old Caledonian pinewood still stands along the shore, and Slioch rises straight out of the water on the far side. Farquharson is remembered for sheep in snow, but he painted the whole of the north, and he painted it from life — outdoors, in a hut on wheels with a stove in it.
