A boy minding sheep in a wide flat field, painted by James Guthrie at Cockburnspath around 1883.

Guthrie went to that Berwickshire village to paint farm work as it actually looked, and stayed through the winter after the other Glasgow Boys had gone back to the city. The results — this, and A Hind's Daughter — are the pictures the group is remembered for.

Printed to order on heavyweight archival paper with a narrow white border that keeps the painting's own proportions. Framed in black, wood or white, or unframed for your own frame. Shipped worldwide.
