Two dogs, a greyhound and a parrot, painted as four distinct personalities. Edwin Landseer painted Queen Victoria's animals in 1838.

Dash the spaniel had been the young Queen's companion before she came to the throne; Hector and Nero were the Windsor deerhound and greyhound; Lory the macaw completes the group by refusing to join it. Landseer gives each of them a look and lets them decline to interact.

He was twenty-six years into a career that had begun with a public exhibition at thirteen, and no painter in Britain was better paid for animals.

Printed to order on heavyweight archival paper with a narrow white border that keeps the painting's own proportions. Framed in black, wood or white, or unframed for your own frame. Shipped worldwide.
